Tongren middle school is the largest nationality boarding school with the longest history in Tongren County. The school was established in 1975. With thirty years’ development, we have established on integrated building, two lecture buildings, four dormitory buildings and a dining hall. For thirty years, we have been promoting Tibetan education system and Tibetan culture and have brought so many contributions to the local area. To improve local education and for the prosperity of the local area, we educate the younger with perseverance.
   Currently there are 1498 students and 106 teacher and staffs. Our teaching quality is the first in the Tongren County. As the development of the school, we have achieved a lot but faced up with difficulties meanwhile. There are no loo in the dormitory buildings and the facilities of including and excluding water has come as a problem which should be solved first. All the students are crowded at the only water tap every morning to get water. Having no loos in the building, students do washing outside in the summer and inside in the winter. Not having excluding water established, students pour dirty water from windows and this pollutes the school environment. Besides 1498 students only use the three old shabby toilets which are surely not enough, and during the class break, students are in queues to use the toilet. Having no loos in dormitory buildings, it is very inconvenient for the students to use the toilet in the nights, instead they use the corridor as a toilet.
